Your Grief Songs and Lyrics

Updated: Nov 21, 2020

Songs are powerful. They can be like a friend during dark times, they can provide catharsis and remind you of a certain person or memory. I have talked about how much music helps me and how much I just love it. I have put together a collection of the songs and lyrics that are meaningful to you.

You'll Be In My Heart by Phil Collins

Favourite lyrics:

When destiny calls you, you must be strong I may not be with you But you got to hold on They'll see in time, I know We'll show them together

'Cause you'll be in my heart Believe me you'll be in my heart I'll be there from this day on Now and forevermore

You'll be in my heart No matter what they say You'll be here in my heart Always

"I knew she always loved this song. I always loved this song of the movie Tarzan by Glenn Close and Phil Collins. It reminds me of mum. I remember when we used to watch Tarzan with mum, she used to sing along with this song when it came out. Now, whenever I hear this part, I feel that it’s a message from mum reminding me to stay strong. This part of the song makes me cry every time I listen to it. I always feel this is what mum felt when she used to sing it. She felt she’s going to leave us but wanted us to be strong. Oh, how much I miss you, mother."
