Five Meaningful Ways To Remember Your Loved One

Updated: Jun 9, 2020

Sometimes it can be hard to think of new ways to remember or honour your loved one, especially for special days such as birthdays or mothers day. Here are five unique and meaningful ways to remember your loved one.

1. Get Gardening!

Plant a tree or your loved one's favourite flower in your garden, so every time you see it- you will think of them. However, if you don't have a garden, you can get an indoor plant or a pot of beautiful flowers, just dedicated to them.

2. Scrapbooking

Organise all of those precious photos and put them into a pretty scrapbook. Be creative and decorate each page however you would like! Also, you could put pen to paper: draw and annotate each precious memory, with dates, locations and a story behind each picture. Soon I will publish a post on how to scrapbook.

3. Memorial Jewellery

There are many amazing companies out there which sell memorial rings and necklaces, in which you can put your loved one's ashes in an urn-like compartment, or you can actually send their ashes to some companies- and they put it into the resin. Memorial jewellery is a beautiful way to remember your loved one every day.

4. Type Away

Online obituaries are a great way to celebrate their life as well as honour their memory, and put their amazing life into words. Here is an online memorial website that you might like: https://butterflymemorialgarden.com/commemorate/

5. Sing Your Heart Out

Create a personalised playlist, with all of their favourite songs and songs that remind you of them, so that you always have something special with you- wherever you go. Listening to their favourite songs can help you remember certain memories, conversations you had and can bring you comfort.
